The Pearl of the Sea

The Pearl of the Sea

Many of the British holidaymakers choose Cyprus for their holiday getaway. Also known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean, Cyprus is found north of Africa and the middle east which creates a very warm destination for sure. Those who live there are just as warm with your hospitality toward visitors.

If you know your Greek mythology, then you know that this is the place of Venus, the island of love. Holidays to Cyprus will be in main resorts that are found in Paphos, Ayia Napa, Larnaca and Protaras. This island takes care when it develops the tourism, so the standards for the accommodations are in the group of being the highest in the world. On the east side of this island, you can find long stretches of white sand beaches which makes it a great idea for a holiday. With its crystal clear blue waters and calm, warm waters, the scenery can be dramatic with cliffs.

Lara Beach and Baths of Aphrodite are just two magical places that you can discover next time you are visiting the island of Cyprus. The main language here is Greek but English is common and driving is the same side of the road as in Britain.

Low budget in Cyprus

Low budget in Cyprus

When you’re looking for low cost options for your holiday, why not consider the beautiful island of Cyprus? Located in the Mediterranean, very close to Greece, Turkey and Africa, its prime location makes it a much desired holiday spot for all of us who like sunny beaches, warm weather, beautiful scenery and excellent traditional food.

There is an enormous potential to spend cheap holidays in Cyprus. Like all countries, getting away from the major tourist centers will help you find cheaper prices on food, accommodation and even on traditional craftsmanship, perfect for quaint souvenirs. It’s one of those holiday destinations where you might find that getting there is a lot more expensive than staying there. So the first step for your cheap holidays is finding adequate and cheap transportation to the island. Booking in advance will help you on your way, as well as considering all your options. Ferries from Greece and Turkey provide cheap transportation to Cyprus, but you’ll need to shop around. As far as flights are concerned, there are also cheap options, namely internal airlines or Greek carriers.

As far as staying is concerned, if you’re really into the idea of saving, my advice is to go to a camping ground.
