Low budget in Cyprus

Low budget in Cyprus

When you’re looking for low cost options for your holiday, why not consider the beautiful island of Cyprus? Located in the Mediterranean, very close to Greece, Turkey and Africa, its prime location makes it a much desired holiday spot for all of us who like sunny beaches, warm weather, beautiful scenery and excellent traditional food.

There is an enormous potential to spend cheap holidays in Cyprus. Like all countries, getting away from the major tourist centers will help you find cheaper prices on food, accommodation and even on traditional craftsmanship, perfect for quaint souvenirs. It’s one of those holiday destinations where you might find that getting there is a lot more expensive than staying there. So the first step for your cheap holidays is finding adequate and cheap transportation to the island. Booking in advance will help you on your way, as well as considering all your options. Ferries from Greece and Turkey provide cheap transportation to Cyprus, but you’ll need to shop around. As far as flights are concerned, there are also cheap options, namely internal airlines or Greek carriers.

As far as staying is concerned, if you’re really into the idea of saving, my advice is to go to a camping ground.

Eastern Europe on a budget

Eastern Europe on a budget

Travelling in Europe used to be looked at as something expensive. And while that is still true for the more western countries, you’ll find that Eastern Europe is a cheap place to visit. And you’ll find cheap travel deals when going to any of those countries also, as low-cost carriers seeded in the Czech Republic and Hungary, among others, offer amazing prices.

I know the image some people have of Eastern Europe is not the best. Some people think of that area as being somewhat lost in time, a prejudice that still lingers from when the Soviet Union was still a super power. But those times are long gone and many Eastern European countries have definitely caught up with the rest of Europe and are now delightful places to visit.

If it’s still a bit complicated to have a good time in former Yugoslavia, because of the aftermath of the war, countries like Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic are wonderful, full of history and with a rich culture, and have started devoting a lot of their effort into tourism. Their capitals, especially Prague and Budapest, are among the most beautiful in the World and are some of the fastest growing capitals in terms of tourism in the last years.

Safety on Board

Safety on Board

A cruise ship is probably one of the safest places you will ever be in. Everything is regulated and organized around your safety, the crew is highly trained and everyone around you is almost certainly there to have fun, just like you. But there are some things that you should be aware of that’ll make you cruise experience even safer, just in case. Still, keep track of your valuables and any of your possessions. A good tip is to make some copies of your most important documents and keep them in a separate place. That way, in case the originals get stolen, you have a backup you can use. A user in the CruiseLineFans forums suggested that you also scan and e-mail the copies of your documents to yourself so you can have a second safety measure.

According to regulations, every cruise needs to start with a safety drill. They’ll show you how to use the lifejacket and the protocol for the lifeboats. Even though the likelihood of you needing to use the life boats is very small, you should be prepared for it just in case. Remember you’re responsible for yourself and your family and also for helping fellow cruisers in case anything happens.

Unique Honeymoons

Unique Honeymoons

Planning your honeymoon shouldn’t be a stressful ordeal. Considering wedding planning is enough, you don’t need the added pressure of arranging the perfect holiday with your new spouse. The honeymoon is a great chance to unwind after all the chaos of wedding planning, and enjoy a vacation for just the two of you. Often couples choose a place that is an escape from their home town, to explore something new and get away from their normal lives. However, navigating a new city on your holiday can be stressful, and your honeymoon should be all about unwinding. A great choice is to book a cruise.

Spending your honeymoon on a cruise is the best way to relax without any added stress of travel. If you are all too familiar with busy city life, the last thing you want is to spend your holiday in a unfamiliar capital. A cruise gives you all the comforts of home, far away from it. You have entertainment and food right on board, and still have the opportunity to venture on shore and see the sights. Cruises are the perfect place to find everything you crave on a holiday, with none of the chaos that goes along with foreign travel. Get a spa treatment, see a show, grab some lunch, and swim in the pool all on the same boat.

Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna

Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna

The Museum of Art History – Kunsthistorisches Museum – in Vienna is considered one of the top Museums in the World.

Placed in the center of Vienna, right in Ringstrasse, the Museum is an architectural wonder on its own, with its beautiful front and octagonal dome. Built as a twin of the Natural History Museum, placed right opposite from it, it’s part of one of the most beautiful architectural landscapes of a town full of architectural beauty.

It’s housed one of the best art collections in the world since its inauguration in 1891, the collection belonging to the Austrian Emperors, one of the oldest, richest and most powerful monarchies in Europe at that time. It’ll be well worth the trip and the ticket – unless you ‘re lucky to get one of the free days or a free showing of one of their collections. It’s also incredibly easy to get there, as it’s a mere 5 minute walk from the heart of the town. It can be the crowning jewel of an art aficionado’s trip to Vienna, but be sure to book your flight early enough as flights to Vienna tend to sell out quickly around Spring and Summer.

Emigrate to America

Emigrate to America

Unless the reader has been on another planet for the last few decades, it is apparent that the object of most of the world outside of select areas of Europe, is to emigrate to the United States. When they emigrate they get to enjoy the benefits of the country while crowding out long-time residents who have lived here for generations.

There has been an uproar concerning all these people who want to emigrate and wait their turn and others who jump the line in wanting to emigrate. The people should calm down. Most are not aware that it is the policy of Wall Street to bring in as many foreigners as possible so as to keep wages down.

It is good for the stocks of many companies when profits go up by hiring cheaper labor. This labor consists mainly of those whose lifelong dream was to emigrate to the United States in any way they could. Of course they only fast way to emigrate to the United States was to sneak across the border. Now the nation is filled with those who had the notion to emigrate forever on their minds. And, probably nothing will be done except to give citizenship to those who are here illegally.

A City of History

Saigon1Once known as Pery Nokor, a fishing village in the early days, Saigon, now named Ho Chi Minh City, is a destination of beauty. It is here you will discover rich art, stylish boulevards and culture. Built during the French revolution are various historic buildings which are today the city’s most popular tourist attractions. During this time period there were also hotels that were built that are now historical also: the Rex Hotel, Caravelle Hotel and the Hotel Majestic.
The Reunification Palace, State Bank Office, and the Municipal Theatre are other famous structures that people travel here to see. This city gains much revenue from its active entertainment because many film companies are based here. Hundreds of theatres and cinemas call this city home as they are active non stop.
If you are looking for a form of relaxation that is top of the list, try the Dam Sen Tourist and National Park or the Can Gio Eco Beach Resort. Today this city holds about nine million in population and it is one of the country’s most populated areas. December weather is best for a visit but it is humid year round.

Amsterdam Central Station

Am1This is the only train station in the inner city of Amsterdam and is totally surrounded by canals. This station is only a few minutes from the Schiphol Airport, so if you are traveling through this city on your way to the airport, it is an easy trip. If you are staying in Amsterdam then you must choose from all the Amsterdam hotels that are offered.
One of the hotels that is near the central train station is the Hotel Prins Hendrik Amsterdam which has a three star rating. Within walking distance of this hotel is the Anne Frank house, many restaurants and pubs and the Royal Palace.
Parked around the train station are thousands of bicycles which many people use to get around. This is a flat area and heavily populated so a bicycle ride can help prevent pollution and also saves space. Bike rentals are everywhere and can be used to see the sites of Amsterdam as you can then stop where ever you want and enjoy the experience that Amsterdam offers. If you are the adventurist, then you may enjoy riding around town. There is also a universal ticket for all public transportation that you can use when your legs give out from all the bike riding.

Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel

Barce1For those people flying into Barcelona Airport and need a place to stay before their cruise ship leaves, the Eurostar Grand Marina Hotel is the nearest of the Barcelona hotels to the cruise terminal. There are other in the area of course but this one is the closest to the terminal and on Barcelona’s famous street, La Rambla, there are other hotels available.
The Grand Marina Hotel is just a fifteen minute walk for the southern most end of the Ramblas and it is here you will find the memorial to Christopher Columbus. This is a safe place to walk during daylight hours but after sunset you would be better off with a taxi ride.
Your stay at the Grand Marina Hotel will put you in the center of the city but without the noise of typical city centers. Because of this you will enjoy a good night sleep which is so important when you have a busy day ahead of you.  Near this hotel there are not bars, clubs or restaurants but a short five minute cab ride will take you to an area where you can chose form many places to eat and drink. You will notice metal sculptures and palm trees just behind this hotel.
